What is the Cobots vs. Covid Initiative?

  1. Robotiq is putting all of its resources behind supporting manufacturers of critical goods to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. In doing so, we want to help you deploy cobot applications within two weeks to increase both your production capacity and your workers’ safety.

We want to be part of the solution by helping manufacturers support front-line workers.

Who is it for? Can I do it at my factory

This initiative is for companies making critical supplies or equipment to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. To maximize the chances of success, your factory should be able to check the following boxes.

How does it work?

    1. Our Integration Coaches and Application Experts will work with you remotely, leveraging collaboration tools such as video conferencing, robot remote access, and eLearning.
    2. We will follow an accelerated process based on the proven Lean Robotics method.
      1. We will distill the methodology into these six principles (to be detailed in upcoming articles):
        1. Starting simple
        2. Keeping it simple
        3. Using standard building blocks
        4. Understanding the manual process
        5. De-risking the design
        6. Eliminating delays
      2. We will follow these four steps with a go/no-go evaluation after each:
        1. Qualify the project to make sure it’s one we can successfully complete.
        2. Design the cobot cell
          1. Using your input, our experts will complete the design.
          2. You will order the off-the-shelf parts from a local Robotiq Expert Partner who has them in stock.
          3. While the parts are transported, you will complete your personalized eLearning course.
        3. Integrate the cobot cell
          1. You will take ownership of the installation and programming.
          2. We will be available through video conferencing and remote robot access to remove blockers and give guidance.
        4. Operate the cobot cell
          1. After the cobot starts producing, we will remain available (via video calls and remote robot access) to help you optimize the cell.

Your main points of contact are our Integration Coaches and Application Experts. Each of them has contributed to hundreds of customer projects in the past using the same tools. They are now ready to take it to the next level with you.
